    Being faced with uncertainty about her education at this time was tough enough, but then this disabled Army veteran was caught by complete surprise when her landlord declined to renew her lease, especially now that being that our nation is combating the COVID-19 pandemic. Facing only 30 days to find and move into a new residence, she has turned to Operation Homefront for assistance with moving costs. Since the injuries she sustained while deployed to Iraq prevent her from a do-it-yourself move, she also needs assistance with utility deposits and groceries as her available funds are going to rent and deposit. Your support at this critical time will make the difference in keeping this veteran on the path to a strong, stable, and secure future.

The COVID-19 pandemic has set her back again by lack of employment opportunities, and in addition, her only vehicle has stopped working and needs extensive repairs.     In late 2019, the wife of this Army soldier had to have emergency surgery, followed shortly in the New Year by a serious health crisis for the soldier. The cost of travel, meals and childcare during hospitalizations, plus insurance billing errors, had already created a financial crisis when the impacts of COVID-19 added additional strain to the already overwhelmed family. They were only able to just catch up when they were plunged back into another financial crisis with the added costs of food for children at home, loss income, and extra supplies needed to protect the fragile health status of the spouse. Please help them recover some of what they have lost by assisting with rent so they can focus on caring for each other and their family, while serving our country.
