We were honored to present a mortgage free home to Army Reserve Staff Sergeant Monica Miracle. The home, located in Alaska, was awarded as part of our Homes on the Homefront program.
Miracle joined the Army Reserve in Fort Richardson, Alaska and has served for 22 years as a health care specialist. While serving she was activated in 2006 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Her job while activated was to assist wounded soldiers.
Still in the Army Reserve, Monica works closely with the Warrior Transition Unit in Alaska. She and her daughter are currently renting an apartment, and were nominated by a friend for the opportunity.
Monica has always wanted to own a home but until this point has never been able to. The new Alaska home will provide Monica and her daughter with a fresh start, and great opportunity to transition into life outside of the military as she will retire this year.
