Girl Scouts Raise $75000 To Help Military Moms

Girl Scout Troop 377 of Newark recently collected approximately $75,000 worth of donations for Operation Homefront of the Virginias’ second annual “Star-Spangled Babies,” a baby shower for military mothers.

The project was proposed by 7-year-old Paige Miller, whose brother is in the Air Force and stationed in Virginia. She and her mother, Lyz, found out about the event on the organization’s Facebook page.
