Tim McGraw Gives Boat To Fan, Matching Donation To Operation Homefront

Last weekend Tim McGraw, Operation Homefront, and Chase were in Nashville, Tennessee, honoring veterans and military families. McGraw gave away a 2015 Ram 1500 and a Prowler 175 Alumacraft Boat with a Yamaha 50HP Motor to a lucky fan at his Nashville show last weekend.

The giveaway also benefited Operation Homefront as we received a matching donation at the same time. For the giveaway moment, Tim invited country artist Chris Janson on stage where they sang his hit song, “Buy Me A Boat.” 

The night’s lucky fan was in attendance with his wife and two of his daughters where they received the prize. Also in attendance was Navy veteran Tracy Baggett, who received a mortgage-free home at the concert from Operation Homefront through its continuing partnership with McGraw and Chase. Over the past three years, Tim, Chase, and Operation Homefront have partnered to give 108 homes to veterans at his concerts, touching over 300 veterans and family members in 30 states in front of over 2,000,000 fans. Thirty-six homes will be awarded during the upcoming tour.

“This is such a great program and I wanted to do something extra in Nashville to help Operation Homefront and Tracy,” said McGraw.  “I want to give a special thanks to Ram Trucks, Alumacraft Boats, Yamaha and Anderson Marine for stepping up in a big way to support our veterans by making these amazing contributions.”

There are currently more than 2.5 million post-9/11 veterans and more than one million who are currently serving that will transition out of the military over the next several years.

“The return to civilian life can be a challenging transition. We want to welcome veterans home to the community they sacrificed to protect. A mortgage-free home provides stability for their families and also allows them to start this new chapter of their life with one less worry,” said McGraw in Nashville while preparing for the tour. “It’s an amazing feeling to see them receive something they so deeply deserve — and to be able to share that experience with thousands of fans each night makes me proud to be a part of this program.”
