Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. recently donated $20,000 to Operation Homefront at a weekend reception in honor of its National Military Appreciation Week celebrations.
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on the campus of Howard University on January 16, 1920 with a mission to serve the community. Many of its members are veterans and they chose to partner with Operation Homefront for its national fundraising initiative because of the “America Supports You” recognition by the Department of Defense and its efficiency rating. Zeta Phi Beta wanted to make the most of its donation and Operation Homefront provided the best means to support military families.
The sorority’s Veteran’s Day weekend activities included a reception with RADM (r)Evelyn J. Fields and a wreath laying at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
